NDI (Network Device Interface) is a network protocol that enables real-time transmission of audio and video over a standard network. VVCR allows you to transcode streams into NDI and seamlessly integrate them into your Production Modules.
Start by creating a cluster with transcoding enabled.
Then create a Stream and enable "Transcode to NDI" under the Output settings.
You can select any input type. VVCR accepts SRT or RTMP sources and transcodes them to NDI, making them available in your VPC.
Go to the Production Tab and click Add vMix Instance.
Assign a Name to your instance.
Select an Instance Type. The instance type determines the power of your module and affects the hourly cost.
In the Cluster dropdown menu, select the cluster you created with "Transcode to NDI" enabled.
Adjust the settings as needed and Press Save.
Once the instance is created, connect to it using NICE DCV.
When a cluster with transcoding is created, VVCR automatically generates an NDI Discovery Server. This is what allows VVCR to use NDI.
You don’t ever need to access the Discovery Server, VVCR does all the configuration for you, but you can fine it under the advanced section of NDI Access Manager.
To confirm you are receiving the NDI stream, open NDI Tools and select Studio Monitor.
Click on the three lines at the top of the screen and select the stream you want to preview.
To add your NDI stream to vMix, click Add Input, select NDI Desktop Capture, and choose your NDI source.
Now you’re ready to start switching your show in the cloud!
