A Transcoded Destination takes a stream and converts it to a new resolution.
The g4dn Instance Type series utilizes hardware-accelerated or GPU transcoding. All other instance types will use software transcoding.
Go to the Clusters tab and click Add New Cluster.
Give the cluster a Name, select an Instance Type, and select a Region.
Click on the check box next to Use Transcoding.
Create a stream and connect a stream source to it.
Go to the Destinations tab and click Add New Destination.
Give the Destination a Name.
Click on the Stream Name dropdown and select the stream you want to push to the destination.
Adjust the Stream Cluster, Stream Encoder, and Audio Track if needed.
Select an Output Type.
Add an Encoder Address or Stream URL and Stream Key.
Select an Authorization Schema if needed.
Check the box next to Enable Transcoding.
Click on the Resolution dropdown menu and select a new resolution for the output.
VVCR supports these resolutions:
- 240p
- 360p
- 480p
- 720p
- 1080p
- 1440p
- 2160p
The Frame Rate, Video Bitrate, and Audio Bitrate will change based on the selected resolution. These can not be changed individually.
Press Save.
VVCR will push the stream at the new resolution.
