NDI Discovery servers are automatically created when you create a Cluster with transcoding enabled. This allows your Production Modules to recognize each other and send or receive NDI streams.
Once your Production Module is running, you can find the Discovery Server under the Advanced Tab in NDI Access Manager. Discovery Server should be toggled on and displays the IP Address of the server. Each Production Module created under the same Cluster uses the same Discovery Server.
You can check if your NDI streams are being sent or received with NDI Studio Monitor.
If a Production Module is created on a cluster without transcoding, you’ll have to go into NDI Access Manager - External Sources and manually add the private IP for each Production Module you want to send or receive NDI streams.
The easiest method is to just create all your Production Modules on the same cluster.
The Discovery Server is created and deleted along with your Cluster, so it doesn’t require any extra steps on your end to use.
