VVCR’s Production Module allows you to spin up a virtual computer and run vMix in the cloud.
Go to the Production Tab and click Add vMix Instance.
Give your instance a name.
Select your cluster.
If you want the instance to be able to access your VVCR streams through NDI, make sure the cluster has transcoding enabled and the stream has Transcode to NDI enabled in the stream settings.
The instance size allows you to modify how powerful your module is. The size of your instance also determines what you pay hourly.
You can configure what instance sizes are available in your Organization settings.
Press save.
It can take up to 10 minutes for your instance to start up. In the back end, VVCR is booting up an instance in EC2, configuring the settings, and installing all the drivers and programs.
The status displays “Launching” while the instance is starting up.
Once the status changes to Active, VVCR will display the IP address, password, and DNS name.
To access the instance, you can use the DNS name with Remote Desktop or you can link VVCR to your Parsec account.
Once the accounts are linked, the production module will appear under your list of Computers. Press connect to access the instance.
When you access your instance for the first time it can be slow for the first few minutes.
NDI Tool and vMix will be installed on the machine.
A vMix license is needed to use vMix.
Go back to VVCR and press the stop button to shut down the instance. You are charged for every hour it’s running.
Press the trash can icon to delete the instance.
