Instances are essentially a virtual environment or a virtual computer. VVCR connects to your AWS EC2 account and acts as a UI to create and work within your virtual computer. You can create your instance in different sizes and in different regions around the world.
An instance is created when you add a new VVCR cluster. You can also create multiple instances within the same cluster.
Just click the Add Instance button in the cluster creation menu.
This provides multiple virtual computers to spread out your streams, recordings, vMix sessions, and save on usage. The instances will be on the same VPC since they’re on the same cluster.
You can assign streams to different instances in the stream’s setting.
Click on the Instances drop down menu and select the instance.
Another instance is created when you spin up a production module. The instance will also be on the same VPC as everything else on the cluster. This is what allows you to access your streams through NDI.
