VVCR gives you the option to enable Persistent IP Addresses to keep the same IP addresses after stopping and starting the cluster.
If you don’t enable this, VVCR will generate new IP addresses every time you restart the cluster.
You have a limited number of addresses per region. This is determined by the number of elastic IP addresses enabled on your AWS account. By default, every account has 5 available addresses per region.
The available addresses will be listed in the Persistent IP dropdown menu. To enable Persistent IP, select an IP address.
If you use the Manual Cluster Creation page, follow the same steps. Click on the Persistent IP dropdown menu and select an IP Address.
Now, if you restart the cluster, your Streams and Production Instances will keep the same IP Address.
